Dance classes coming soon

Above the Beat is a new, small dance studio based just out of Otorohanga with jazz and tap classes starting in term 1 of 2026 for students aged 4 onwards.

Affiliated with the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD), we offer an nationally recognised syllabus to help students develop technique, sit exams and medal tests if they wish, and enjoy a fun and creative environment.

Georgia has been dancing for 28 years and spent over a decade teaching at a studio in Wellington. With a passion for dance and a deep love of jazz and tap, she is excited to provide the opportunity for our local community to enjoy these styles.

Classes will be held in the Otewa Hall at 929 Otewa Road.

All classes will be in the afternoons after school. I will aim to create a timetable that meets availability - however I can not guarantee your preferred days will be those offered.
